Description
This chest tomb, located 5 yards to the northwest of the chancel at the Parish Church of St. Swithun's, dates from the mid-18th century. It is made of ashlar and features fluted pilasters, a frieze, and inscribed panels, although the inscriptions are illegible. The tomb has a moulded cornice. The chest tombs in Bathford Churchyard form a significant and varied collection of classical and local traditional tomb styles, enhancing the church's setting.
