Description

Ivy Cottages, originally a farmhouse dating from the late 17th century, now functions as a pair of cottages. The building is constructed of rubble with freestone dressings and features a double Roman tiled roof with coped raised verges and capped ashlar stacks. It stands two storeys high, with two bays for No. 1 and three bays for No. 2. The windows include 2-, 3-, and 4-light casements with ovolo moulded mullions and surrounds, and No. 2 has dripmoulds above its windows. There is a 20th-century door to the left of No. 2, set in a projecting porch with a broken pediment, and a 20th-century addition in a projecting wing to the left of No. 1. The property is enclosed by a low ashlar front boundary wall that includes three panelled piers.
