Description

Nos. 26 and 26A Newton St Loe is a cottage that has been subdivided and dates from the late 17th century. It is constructed of rubble with freestone dressings and features a double Roman tiled roof with coped raised verges and ashlar stacks. The building is single storey with attics, characterized by two steep gables. On the ground floor, there are three windows, which are 2- and 3-light casements set in ovolo moulded mullions and surrounds, all beneath plain dripmoulds. The doors, dating from the 20th century, are in edge roll moulded surrounds, and No. 26 includes a lean-to porch.
