Description
This early 19th-century house, now divided into two dwellings, stands on the south side of High Street, Weston. It is constructed of coursed limestone rubble with freestone quoins and dressings, and has a pantile roof with moulded kneelers and stacks to the gable ends. The building originally had a double-depth plan.
The exterior presents a symmetrical three-window range, with a set-back stucco range on the left, likely a former service entrance. Number 82 occupies the left service bay and the left-hand range of the original house, presenting a two-window range. The stucco bay has a parapet above a six/six-pane sash window on the first floor and a six-panel door with glazed upper panels. Other windows to the right have painted, raised architraves, with a six/six-pane sash window on the first floor and a mid-19th century casement window on the ground floor. Number 83, now a two-window range, features six/six-pane sash windows and a six-panel door sheltered by a shallow hood supported on shaped brackets. The interiors have not been inspected.
