Description
This building, located at 108 High Street in Weston, is a house dating from the late 17th century, with some alterations made in the 20th century. It is constructed from limestone rubble with freestone dressings and features a stone slate roof with moulded stacks at the coped gable ends. The house has a two-unit plan, with a two-storey rear block added in the 20th century.
The exterior is single storey with an attic and has a two-window range. It showcases ovolo moulded stone mullioned windows that sit under continuous dripmoulds, which have been replaced with 20th-century leaded casement windows. The large forward-facing gable, which connects to the ridge of the main block, includes two two-light half-dormer windows. To the left of the centre, there is a restored stone hood on scroll brackets with carved foliate fronts, likely from the early 18th century, positioned higher than the dripmould that the doorway interrupts. The doorway features a roll-edged moulding to the architrave and is flanked on the left by a two-light window and on the right by a three-light window. The right side of the building has a single window at the front of the first floor. The interior has not been inspected.
