Description

The garden pavilion, located in the grounds of No. 79 London Road West, was built in the late 18th century and is designed in a classical style. It features a square plan and is constructed from limestone ashlar with a Cotswold stone slate roof. The exterior includes a pediment and cornice, a plain frieze, and a tetrastyle arrangement of cylindrical columns that have simple caps and abaci, all resting on a plinth with two steps. At the rear, there is a stone bench, and raised panels with dolphins flank a central panel that displays an inscribed poem, with small square floral panels above and below.
