Description

Brewery House is a mid-19th century building that has been converted into offices. It is constructed from limestone ashlar and features a slate roof. The building has a complex layout with three main blocks and some 20th-century additions.

The exterior is made up of two, three, and four storeys and has a seven-window front. The original openings are topped with segmental arches and rock-faced keystones, and they likely had cast iron fixed frames. The ground floor has three openings in the centre that have been replaced with 20th-century plate glass. The left-hand block, which is two storeys tall, features a crested roof with a forward-facing gable. The central block is four storeys high and includes a three-window range gabled tower with a 20th-century balcony at the apex. The right-hand block is three storeys tall and has 20th-century weatherboarding and glazing on the upper storey, while the first floor retains original openings above 20th-century flat-arched plate glass windows on the lower ground floor. The right return of this block is four storeys high with 20th-century windows and has an additional two-storey range at the rear. The interior has not been inspected.
