Description

No. 170 Athol House is an early 19th-century house with alterations made in the late 19th century. It is constructed of limestone ashlar, with an unseen single-pitched roof and a moulded ridge stack located to the right of centre, and a truncated stack to the left gable end. The house has a wide, symmetrical two-window facade, arranged over two storeys and a lower ground floor. It features a restored coped parapet, a cornice, and a glyph frieze to the front. The upper floor has two/two-pane sash windows, while the ground floor has six/six-pane sashes. A six-panel door is accessed via a moulded hood supported on moulded stone brackets. The interior has not been inspected.
