Description

Beckets Cottage, part of Parsonage Row, dates to the 15th century. Originally a single house, it has been divided into three cottages, two of which are owned by the Sussex Archaeological Trust, with the central cottage serving as a museum. The building is timber-framed and rendered in plaster, with casement windows and a Horsham stone slate roof. The gable of number 8 features a scalloped bargeboard. The first floors of numbers 8 and 10 project slightly, supported by brackets. Number 6 features a tie beam under the eaves, with a curved beam supporting it, and windows that slightly project on both floors. Numbers 2 to 16 (even) and 20 to 32 (even) form a group.
