Description
This is a pair of early 19th-century buildings located on the west side of High Street, West Tarring, and originally abutted number 15. The buildings are two storeys high and have a rendered exterior. There are three unevenly-spaced sash windows on the upper floor, each with a moulded architrave and glazing bars. On the ground floor, the left side features a four-panel door. A moulded cornice runs across the remainder of the front, likely belonging to the original shop front, with four slender pilasters. The middle two pilasters frame a four-panel door, the top two panels of which are glazed. The left-hand pilaster has lost its lower portion. The left window beneath the cornice is fixed, and the right window is a sash with glazing bars. The roof is slate-covered, with gable chimneys. The eaves are unmoulded. The property forms a group with the George and Dragon Public House and numbers 3 to 19 (odd), including number 13a (Chippers).
