Description
The George and Dragon Public House is a building likely dating from the mid-18th century, located on the west side of High Street in West Tarring. It stands two storeys tall and features a steep tiled roof, which has been renewed, with a gable chimney at the north end. The eaves are moulded in wood. The front of the building is painted brick, while the north end is red brick with grey headers, and the south end is rendered. The windows are unevenly spaced, with three widely spaced sash windows featuring glazing bars on the upper storey, one of which is blocked. On the ground floor, there are three modern two-light sash windows, one sash window likely from the 19th century, and two doors. The George and Dragon Public House is part of a group that includes Nos 3 to 19 (odd), along with No 13a (Chippers).
