Description
Sea Court is a detached house located on Jefferies Lane in Goring-by-Sea. Originally the Vicarage of Goring Church, this building dates back to the 18th century and earlier, though it has undergone significant modifications. It stands two storeys tall, with the north side featuring two gables and three irregular sash windows, along with a left-hand door. A single-storey wing extends forward at the right end, likely incorporating elements from before the 18th century. The construction includes flint and brick, topped with a slate roof.
The south front presents a more uniform design, probably from the early to mid-19th century, which may have replaced an earlier main block. This facade is finished with painted cobbles and also features a slate roof and gable chimneys. A plain balcony supported by iron posts spans the upper storey, while three French windows are flanked by pairs of smaller casement windows, totaling eleven windows. Notably, parts of the ground floor interior are at a lower level and likely date back to before the 18th century.
