Description

This is a chest tomb dedicated to Richard Uwins, dating from around 1795. It is located approximately 6 metres south of another item listed as 8/30 in Cuckfield on Church Street. The tomb features a brick and stone plinth that supports a stone chest. The chest is adorned with end double tapering fluted pilasters and has rectangular panels with floral decorations in the corners. At the time of the survey, the top of the tomb was concealed by ivy.
