Description
The lychgate, wall, and four gate piers located to the northwest of the church were built in 1911. The lychgate is constructed of timber on a sandstone base and features a Horsham stone slab roof. It has a square plan and includes upright posts, a tie-beam, and two modified scissor braces. An inscription reads: 'To the glory of God and to the memory of Laura Maria Beavan her six children dedicate this gate 1911'.
Flanking the lychgate are sections of sandstone ashlar walling. To the right, there is a section of wall approximately 5 feet high and 5 feet long, topped with moulded coping and ending in a square pier with a pyramidal cap and finial. To the left, a section of wall about 5 feet high extends approximately 15 feet and also terminates in a similar pier. Attached to this is another section of wall nearly 5 feet high and 30 feet long, featuring gate piers at each end. This lychgate is one of a pair in the churchyard, which is considered a great rarity.
