Description
Chantry Cottage is a cottage dating from the early to mid-19th century, with alterations made in the 20th century. It is constructed of red brick, with the front elevation covered in pebble-dash, and features a tiled roof. The building consists of two parallel ranges and stands two storeys high, topped with a modillion eaves cornice. The front has two 20th-century casements that have been altered and feature diamond pane leaded lights. There is a central doorcase with a six-panelled door, where the top two panels are glazed, and a later wooden weather porch has been added. A hexagonal light is located on the left side elevation, and there is a tall chimney stack on the left-hand ridge. The cottage is included for its group value.
