Description

Churchyard Cottages comprise a C15 or C16 timber-framed building that was formerly an inn, refronted in the 19th century. The ground floor is red brick, while the first floor is tile hung, with alternating plain and curved courses at the lower level and alternating plain and pointed courses at the upper level. The roof is tiled, with a half-hip on the left-hand side. The cottages are two storeys and have attics, with three windows. They feature C19 casement windows. Number 1 has a C18 doorcase with a flat wooden hood and moulded architraves, leading to a 6-panelled door. Number 2 has a square brick porch with a hipped tiled roof. There is an off-centre brick stack to the left and a square brick stack to the right. A catslide roof extends to the rear, incorporating one gabled dormer and one modern flat dormer.
