This building, known as the NSS Newsagents premises occupied by Stuart Newnham, dates from around 1840 and is located on the south side of South Street in Cuckfield. It is a two-storey structure finished in stucco with a slate roof. The facade features four irregular sash windows that have verticals only and are framed by moulded architraves. At the top, there is a parapet with stone coping. To the east, there is a 19th-century splayed shop front that includes ornamental cresting above the fascia, while the shop front to the west is from the 20th century.
