Description
Oddynes is a house and shop dating from the late 17th century or early 18th century. It is constructed of red brick, with the east, south, and west fronts now painted, and features sandstone quoins. The building has a Horsham stone slab roof, which is complemented by two 19th-century brick stacks and a deep wooden modillion eaves cornice. As a corner building, it consists of two parallel ranges and stands two storeys high.
The west front includes six cross casement windows on the first floor. The ground floor features a late 19th-century shop front, along with two mid-19th-century six-pane sashes with horns. There is a doorcase that has a flat wooden hood supported by curved brackets, a moulded architrave, and a six-panelled door, with the top two panels cut away and glazed. On the south front, there are four cross casement windows on the first floor and two mid-19th-century six-pane sashes with horns on the ground floor.
