Description

No. 55 on West Street is a building from the late 18th century or early 19th century. It has three storeys and an attic, with a stuccoed exterior. The front features pilasters with moulded panels on either side, and there is a moulded string course running along the building. The roof is hipped and covered with slate, accented by red ridge tiles. A parapet with stone capping and a deep cornice sits above the second-floor windows. The building has two windows with sashes that still have their glazing bars intact, while the ground floor has a modern shop front.
