Description
No. 34 South Street is an 18th-century building located at the corner of Blackhorse Way. It is two storeys high and has a stuccoed exterior with an eaves cornice. The building features pilasters at both ends of the front, with the southern pilaster being rusticated and adorned with a triglyph frieze. There are two windows on the front, with three-light bay windows on both floors to the north of the entrance door. The windows are sash style with intact glazing bars. The entrance features a moulded door set in a frame, topped with a flat hood. This building is part of a group of listed buildings that includes Nos 1 to 7 (odd) Blackhorse Way, The Manor House, the stable to the south, and Nos 24 to 31 (consecutive) Causeway, highlighting its historical significance within the area.
