Description

Brook Cottage is a 17th century, two-bay timber-framed cottage located on Rusper Road. It is one storey with attics and features timber framing with brick infill. The framing is square with no braces. The old tiled roof is hipped at the north end and extends over an outshut on the west side. There is a brick chimney at the south end. The east-facing front has two wooden casements and two attic dormers, with some tile hanging at the south end. Inside, the walls are made of wattle and daub, with small squarish rafters in the north bay and large wide early rafters in the south bay.
