Description
Ifield Mill House is a building from the 16th century with later additions. It features a mix of modern work designed to match the original style, which includes half-timbering and brick. The older section is two storeys high and has a timber-framed structure with square panels and whitened brick nogging. It has diamond lattice casement windows, with two windows extending above the eaves as gabled dormers. The right side of the front has only a few original timbers remaining. The roof is covered with old tiles, hipped to the left and featuring a gablet. The left gable return is tile-hung, while the right return end is timber-framed with plain brick nogging. The rear sections of the building are partly modern work that imitates the older style.
