Description

Church Cottage is a Sussex sandstone cottage dating from around 1840, featuring a tiled roof and two storeys. It has a projecting centre with a wide gable and small gabled dormers on either side. The cottage is adorned with brick chimneys and windows that have leaded glazing, with small diamond shapes at the corners of the rectangular panes. The centre ground floor windows are distinguished by stone mullions and a traceried head that is inspired by the east window of the north aisle of the nearby church. It is believed that this building was originally the church school before being converted into cottages.
