Description

Glebe Cottage is a 17th-century cottage located in Abberton. It is timber framed and consists of three bays. The front and one end of the cottage are rendered, while the timber framing on the other end is exposed. The cottage has a later heightened slate roof with gabled ends and stands two storeys tall. It features four window bays with casements. At one end of the rear, there is a timber-framed outshot that is part of the original cottage. A brick chimney stack is located at the north end. Inside, the cottage has longitudinal central floor beams with joists, and the mid roof trusses are intact in the upper rooms.
