Description
62 and 63 North Street are a pair of 16th-century timber-framed cottages that have been refronted. The buildings are two storeys tall and feature a slight overhang on the first floor. They have a tiled gabled roof with two dormers and one hipped dormer on the north side. The upper part is plastered, while the lower part is made of painted brick. There are three 3-light casement windows on the upper floor and three shop fronts on the ground floor. The central shop front includes a 19th-century square oriel bay with glazing bars and a doorway to the north, with a fascia that continues over to the south. At the back, there is a lower timber-framed wing that runs east-west along St Peter's. Nos 50 to 63 North Street, along with The Ship Hotel and No 5 Guildhall Street, form a group.
