Description
Nos 35, 36A, and 36 on North Street are a pair of early 19th-century houses. They are three storeys tall and each has two windows. The houses are constructed of red brick and feature a brick dentilled cornice above the second-floor windows. The sash windows are set in reveals with slightly segmental arches; however, No 35 has rendered voussoirs and missing glazing bars, while the northern part retains rubbed brick voussoirs with intact glazing bars. No 35 also has a 20th-century plate glass shop front door and fascia. The central doorway features a frieze and a rectangular pediment supported by plain wooden consoles, and it has a six-panelled door. These houses, along with Nos 35 to 49, form a group.
