Description
58 North Street is an 18th-century building that stands two storeys high with an attic, although the attic storey is modern. The façade features three sash windows with flush boxes set in flat arches, and the glazing bars are intact. The building is constructed of red brick and has a small dentil cornice. The doorway is notable for its Doric columns, a pediment, and a semi-circular fanlight. The door itself is a six-panelled design with four fielded panels, set within reveals. There is a modern plate-glass shop front to the south, which is large in relation to the size of the house. This property, along with Nos 50 to 63 (consecutive) and The Ship Hotel, as well as No 5 Guildhall Street, forms a group.
