Description
No 5 on Guildhall Street is a 18th-century building that stands two storeys tall with an attic, featuring three windows and three dormers. The facade is constructed of red brick with alternating grey headers. It has a string course and cornice adorned with modillions. The glazing bars are missing, and the ground floor windows are sash windows with slightly curved headings. The doorway is framed by Doric pilasters and includes an entablature and pediment. The door has six moulded panels, with the top two cut away and glazed. The west side of this house faces North Street. No 5 forms a group with Nos 52 to 63 and The Ship Hotel on North Street.
