Description

36 and 37 East Street are early 19th century buildings with an earlier timber framed core in No 36. They feature a slate roof and stand three storeys tall with five windows. No 37 projects slightly from the main line. The front is stuccoed, with a parapet and a cornice present on No 37. The buildings have sash windows set in flat arches, with some windows in reveals. No 37 has small windows on the second floor, while No 36 has narrow centre windows. All glazing bars are intact, and there are plate glass shop fronts on the ground floor.
