Description

No. 40 East Street is an 18th-century building that stands three storeys tall with an attic. It features two windows and is constructed of red brick. The building has a panelled parapet that conceals the dormers. The sash windows are set within reveals and have flat arches, with rubbed brick voussoirs. The lower windows are missing their glazing bars. On the ground floor, there is a 20th-century plate glass shop front and fascia.
