Description

41 East Street is a 18th-century building that stands three storeys tall and has a lower elevation than the adjacent No 40. It features a very steeply pitched red tiled roof and a coved cornice. The façade is constructed of red brick with alternating grey headers and includes two window bays. The sash windows have flush boxes set in flat arches, with brick voussoirs and intact glazing bars. The ground floor has a shop window that retains the original window from the house, set within reveals and topped by a segmental arch without glazing bars. There is a doorway with a small flat hood, a six-panel moulded door, and a small rectangular fanlight above.
