Description

This is a pair of 18th-century houses located on East Street. They are three storeys high and feature three windows on each side. The houses are constructed with grey headers (limestone) with red brick accents around the window bays. Horizontal stringcourses divide the facade above each floor. Pilasters of grey headers with red brick quoins are located at each end and flank the two central window bays. The building is topped with a panelled parapet. The windows are sash windows set within frames and have flat arches above, with the centre windows featuring slightly curved headings. The glazing bars are missing on the ground and first floors. The window arches are constructed with rubbed brick voussoirs. The entrances are particularly notable, featuring Doric columns and a shared pediment over a pair of six-panel moulded doors, each with a rectangular fanlight.
