Description
This is a pair of 18th-century houses located on the north side of East Street, built onto number 41 at the western end. They are three storeys high and have three windows each, though two openings on the second storey are blocked. The facades are stuccoed and feature bands, a cornice above the first floor, and a parapet above the second. Narrower windows are located at either end. The sash windows are set within flat-arched surrounds with flush boxes, and retain their original glazing bars. Two segmental-headed doorways, each ascended by four steps with iron handrails, provide access. These doorways feature pilasters and fluted arches, with doors consisting of six fielded panels flanked by slender columns, and segmental fanlights with tracery above.
