Description
The King's Head is an 18th-century building located on South Street. It is constructed of painted brick and has two storeys with three window bays. The façade features a heavy cornice adorned with modillions and a blocking course. The sash windows are set in reveals with flat arches, and the first-floor windows retain their glazing bars. On the ground floor, there are two windows that are more closely spaced and flank a doorway, although the glazing bars are missing from these. The doorway is framed by Doric pilasters and has an entablature above, with a door in reveals behind it. There is a carriageway beneath the southernmost first-floor window.
