Description

24 and 25 South Terrace originally comprised a pair of buildings, although they have been altered. They date to the late 18th and early 19th centuries and are four storeys high with an attic and basement, including an area. Number 24 has two windows, while Number 25 has one. Each building has a single mansard dormer window.

Number 24 features a full-height canted bay window of three lights. It has replacement mullions made of sandstone between the lights. There is also a small, recently inserted plain window on each floor. Number 25 has a full-height canted bay window of four lights, and the original glazing bars are missing. The buildings are constructed of red brick with grey brick headers, and pilasters of grey brick flank each house. However, Number 25 has been painted and rendered. Parapets are present, and there is no cornice except over the bay window of Number 24. Small porches are present, featuring fluted columns and a shared entablature.

Numbers 21 to 25 form a significant group.
