  1. Early C19, Terraced house (together with Nos 17, 19 and 21 Maltravers Street). Red brick north elevation. West elevation rendered. Hipped slate roof. Red brick chimneys. 3 storeys. Brick modillion eaves cornice. North elevation has 1 range of double-hung sash windows with glazing bars on 1st and 2nd floors; and on ground floor 1 segmental bay with 3 double-hung sash windows with glazing bars, and moulded cornice with consoles. West elevation has 1 round arched double-hung sash window with glazing bars on 1st floor. 1 horizontally sliding sash window with glazing bars on ground floor. One 6-panelled door (2 fielded, 2 moulded), partly glazed, in moulded frame with plain reveals, dentilled pediment taken on consoles, and 3 limestone steps up, flanked by fluted iron railings with acanthus capitals. 1-storey extension to south. Rendered. Brick modillion cornice. 1 window with horizontally sliding sash, flanked by 4-panelled door (top 2 panels glazed), and both surmounted by shallow hood on 3 consoles, the door approached by 3 brick steps with iron railings.

No 1 forms a group with The Little House, and Nos 3 to 31 (odd) Maltravers Street, and with Nos 2 and 6 on the West side of Baker's Arms Hill
