It has a hipped slate roof and a red brick chimney with yellow brick cornicing. The cottage is two storeys tall and has a yellow brick modillion eaves cornice. There are two ranges of double-hung sash windows with glazing bars on the south side, along with a four-panelled door that has a semi-circular fanlight above it, and a blocked window situated above the door. To the north, there is a two-storey wing. Rock Cottage is part of a group that includes Nos 64 to 84 (even) and the wall opposite on the south side.
