Description

This is a mid-18th century cottage, marked on a map of 1785. It is located on the east side of Park Place and forms a group with numbers 6 to 26 (even). The front of the cottage is whitewashed brick, while the rest of the exterior is flint with brick dressings. It has a pitched tile roof and red brick chimneys with grey headers. The cottage is two storeys high, featuring a brick modillion eaves cornice and a plain stringcourse between the ground and first floors. There are two ranges of double-hung sash windows without glazing bars, and a six-panelled front door with glazing inserted. A blind window sits above the door. Additional features include a cast iron rainwater head and drainpipe.
