Description

30-32 John Street is a pair of cottages dating from the late 18th century, with a 19th-century wing on the left. The building is constructed of painted coursed cobblestone, featuring painted brick quoins and dressings. It has a plain tiled roof with a gable parapet and an end stack on the right. The structure is two storeys high and has three windows on the right, which are glazing bar sashes set in wooden surrounds. The central entrance consists of panelled doors topped with glazed panels, framed by a wooden surround with flanking pilasters that support a tall open pediment. The left-hand wing is also two storeys and has a mansard tiled roof, with one glazing bar sash window on the right and a panelled door with glazed top-panels on the left.
