Description
Pear Tree Cottage is a house dating back to the 17th century, with a later extension added to the right in the 20th century. It is constructed with a timber frame, with red and blue brick used for the underbuilding and cladding above. A thinner timber frame is visible on the first floor to the right, with brick infill. The roof is tiled and half-hipped to the right. The house has two storeys, featuring massive corbelled stacks at the rear left and rear right of centre. There are five diamond-pane windows on the first floor and five windows on the ground floor. An open bay is present at the right end of the ground floor, with main posts braced to form four-centred arches. A gabled porch is situated to the left, containing a plank door. A pentice roof extends to the left, connecting to a single-storey extension with a further porch and two windows.
