Description
Little Abbots is a house dating from the 17th century, with a later extension to the right made in the 20th century. The building features a timber frame that is exposed on the ground floor to the left, resting on a brick plinth with brick infilling. The right side has brick cladding and extensions, while the first floor is tile hung in a diamond-point pattern beneath a plain tiled roof. The house is two storeys tall and has a corbelled stack located at the rear left of the centre.
On the first floor of the original section, there are two leaded windows, with one taller window positioned to the right. The ground floor has a window to the left and another in a 20th-century pentice extension at the centre. To the right, there is a larger leaded casement window. A ribbed door is located to the left of centre, set within an open hipped-roof porch. The frame is exposed on the left-hand return front at ground floor level. Inside, there are exposed ceiling frames and some wall frames on the first floor, along with a queen strut roof.
