Description
Yew Tree Farm is a house dating from the 17th century, with a 20th-century extension on the left. It is timber framed and stands on a brick plinth, featuring colour-washed roughcast cladding on the front and cement render at the rear. The roof is plain tiled and half-hipped, with a central chimney and a lobby entry plan. The building has two storeys and an attic, with a corbelled and decorated ridge-stack. There are two flat-roofed dormers on the front and gabled weatherboarded dormers at the rear. The house has three casement windows on both the first and ground floors, with the ground floor window being a four-light design. A part-glazed door is located under a lead tent porch roof supported by trellis work posts. The lower 20th-century extension is on the left side, and there is a plat band across the rear. Inside, the ceiling joists are exposed, showcasing a chamfered spine beam with lambs-tongue stops to the common joists.
