Description

The Old Bakery is a former bakery, dating to the 17th century. It is now a single house. The building has an end chimney plan and is timber framed. The lower portion is clad in whitewashed brick, while the upper portion has fishscale pattern tile hanging. The roof is tiled and has been restored, with a hipped section on the right. It has two storeys. The first floor has three, three-light diamond-pane casement windows. The ground floor has four windows, including two “cross” windows on the right and a small window in the former doorway to the left of centre. An offset end stack is located on the left, with a smaller stack on the right. A door is situated on the right-hand return front of the lower wing. There is a wing set at a right angle to the rear left.
