Description
Fastbridge Farm House is a house that dates from the 16th century on the left side, with 19th-century extensions to the right. The left side features a timber frame with whitewashed render infill on the left-hand return front, while the rest of the house and the extensions are clad in whitewashed brick. The roofs are plain tiled with tile-hung gable ends. The building has a T-shaped plan, with the older section running at right angles to the street on the left. It is two storeys high, featuring a front stack on the right and a fine crow-stepped stack on the left-hand return front, along with a small stack on the gable end. The gable end of the old range has stepped corbelled brick eaves. There is one casement window on each floor of the old range, and a flat-roofed extension on the ground floor. The right side has two first-floor windows and one ground-floor window. A half-glazed door is located to the left of centre under a pentice hood. The right-hand return front extension projects to the left and has one three-light casement window on each floor. There are two windows on each floor of the return wall. The old range to the right has corbelled eaves, with two first-floor windows and two larger windows on the ground floor, along with a half-glazed door in a pentice porch located in the re-entrant angle of the two ranges.
