Description

Willow Grange is a house that dates back to the 16th century on the right side, with an extension added to the left in the early 20th century. The right side features timber framing that is underbuilt in brick, with some areas displaying chequerwork and an exposed frame above with brick infill. The central and left sections are constructed of brick below, with half timbering above. The roofs are plain tiled, and the gables are tile hung. The original house on the right is L-shaped, while the extension on the left includes a central range and a projecting gable wing at the left end, with an oversailing gable at the center.

The building has two storeys and features a tall multiple stack with a corbelled top at the front left, and a 17th-century ridge stack located at the center of the right-hand wing. The windows have leaded glass, including a four-light "cross" window on the first floor to the left and a five-light "cross" square bay window on the ground floor. The first floor has a jettied center with two casements flanking a central three-light, gabled, square bay window above a cove. There is also one single light and one six-light window on the ground floor, along with a three-light window above and below the wall plate to the right on the first floor, and a four-light window on the ground floor.

The entrance front of the old house on the right side has exposed framing with first-floor bracing. It features two casements on the first floor and a square bay window under a hipped roof to the right. There is a pentice roof dormer at the right end and a gabled wing that is positioned at right angles to the rear of the old wing. The entrance includes glazed casement doors in a hipped roof porch to the right of center, with a ribbed door inside.
