Description
Stringers Barn is a house that dates from the 16th century at the rear, with a front range built in the late 18th to early 19th century. The rear is timber framed, while the front range is made of red brick, both topped with plain tiled roofs. The building has two storeys and a basement on the right, featuring brick dentilled eaves. There are end ridge stacks and a cut-down ridge stack on the rear range. The symmetrical facade includes three 12-pane glazing bar sash windows with cambered heads on the first floor and two windows below. The central entrance has a panelled door that is partly glazed, topped with a wood tracery fanlight, and is accessed by two stone steps. At the rear, there is a parallel three-bay framed range, with 20th-century extensions set back to the right.
