Description
Whitmoor Hatch is a house dating from the 17th century, with extensions added to the right and rear in the 20th century. The original structure is timber framed with whitewashed rendered cladding on the front and left-hand return front, while the right-hand return front and rear feature an exposed frame with red brick infill. The right-side extensions are constructed of brick with tile hanging on the bay windows. The house has plain tiled roofs that are hipped with gablets on the left side. It is two storeys high, with two framed bays in the older part and end ridge stacks. On the first floor, there are two three-light casement windows, and three casement windows are located below. The main entrance is at the rear, where a framed wing shows exposed timbers of thin scantling. There is a large stack at the end that has been cut off, and a 20th-century arched door is set in a half-hipped porch to the left. The large extensions create an L-shaped wing to the left.
