Description

Old Rickfords is a house dating to the 17th century. It is timber-framed and largely clad in red brick, with a rendered gable end to the left, and has a plain tiled roof, hipped on the right. The house has a T-shaped plan with a gabled crosswing at the left end. It is two storeys high, with a square ridge stack to the left. A plat band runs above the ground floor. The first floor has two two-light, diamond-pane, leaded casement windows and one single-light window. There is one casement window to the first floor of the gabled bay. The gabled wing has two cambered-head ground floor casements, one window to the right, and a square bay window with a hipped roof to the centre right. A ribbed, part-glazed door is located at the right end, sheltered by a hipped roof timber porch.
