Description
Perry Hill House is a house that dates from the 17th century at the rear and was refronted in 1728. It has a timber frame with red brick infill, which is exposed on the right-hand return front. The first floor of the left-hand return front is tile hung, while the front is clad in red brick. The house features plain tiled roofs and has an L-shaped plan with a wing at the rear left. It is two storeys high with attics in the outer gables, set on a plinth with a plat band over the ground and first floors, and has brick on edge coping. There is an end stack to the left and a large pudding stone stack with brick quoins at the rear right. The windows are leaded casements, with three on the first floor and three below, all under gauged brick heads. The central entrance has a six-panel door beneath a transom light, with a flat-roofed porch supported by braces.
Inside, the house features square panelled framing on the walls, with some surviving ceiling frames. There is a deep brick fireplace in the rear right with a chamfered edge, although much of the interior framing has been altered.
