Description

SU993NE WITLEY C.P. NEW ROAD Wormley 9/432 Barn and stable, approx. 2 metres east of Tigbourne farmhouse.

GV II

Barn and stable. Late C16/C17 , extended to north in C19 and restored in C20. Timber framed on sandstone and brick plinth with renewed weatherboard cladding and plain tiled halp-hipped roof. L shaped plan. South side: Four framed bays. Three two-light casement windows and one part-glazed stable style door. North side: One fixed window and one stable style door in the barn range, one loft door and two stable doors in floored stable range to left. Interior : Clasped purlin roof with queen-strut trusses. Arched braces to jowled angle posts, arched windbraces in roof.
